David Cottin commenced his training career in Chantilly, near Paris and in Lion-d’Angers in western France in September 2017. A former three-time champion jockey in France, with 13 Group 1 wins and a total of 732 wins as a professional jockey, David possesses a wealth of horsemanship.
David is son to trainer Philippe Cottin and nephew to Philippe Peltier, both with whom he obtained valuable experienced from an early age. In addition, David has spent time with Andrew Balding, Paul Nicholls and Philip Hobbs in England. Today, David runs his training facilities with his partner Amanda Zetterholm, who herself has a successful career in flat racing, notably having spent several years as an assistant to Mike de Kock. Since 2012, Amanda is working with nominations and client relations for H.H the Aga Khan in France.
