This four-year-old Milan filly is based with former top amateur jockey turned promising trainer Oliver Greenall in Cheshire.
She is out of the unraced Alflora mare Pearl Buttons, so is therefore a half-sister to the useful Captain Cattistock – a 140+ rated chaser for Paul Nicholls – and a full-sister to the three-time winning hurdler Pearlita. This smart family features several black-type performers and can be traced back to the outstanding Pearlyman, winner of the 1988 Queen Mother Champion Chase.
The sire Milan needs little introduction as his numerous top-class runners have created enough noise on their own. His best performers to date include the Champion Hurdle winner Jezki, Grand National hero One For Arthur and the Gold Cup second Santini. The combined efforts of his offspring led to Milan being crowned Champion NH Sire during the 2019/20 jumps season, and he has a good record when paired with Alflora mares.
With a pleasing pedigree and the looks to match, plus the assistance of a forward–thinking and innovative young trainer, there is plenty to anticipate with this promising individual.
