This attractive March-born yearling colt is another member of the Deva Racing squad based with trainer Tom Dascombe in Cheshire. He is from the first crop of the exciting sire CotaiGlory and out of the Pennekamp mare Penny Rouge.
The sire won the Grp-3 Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood as a two-year-old and the Listed ScarbroughStakes at three, whilst at four he won a Grp-3 at Newbury and was a neck second in the Grp-1 King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Retired to the acclaimed Tally–Ho Stud on the back of these achievements, his first crop of yearlings have impressed greatly at the sales this autumn. He clearly rates one of the most exciting first-season sires for next year.
The dam Penny Rouge was lightly-raced on the track but has gone on to prove herself as a broodmare many times over. Her four winning offspring include the multiple–times Grp-2 and Grp-3 placed Elleval, who earned over £500,000 in prizemoney during his career, and the useful 93-rated handicapper Heddwyn, who won on racecourse debut.
All of the mare’s progeny to have raced have shown ability, and there is every reason to believe that this yearling is one of her most exciting runners yet. He should develop into a lovely two-year-old next year and is one to follow closely.
