Bravo Buddy is a cracking four-year-old son of the St Leger and Ascot Gold Cup winner Leading Light, who is trained for Deva Racing by Ian Williams.
A strong and attractive individual, he is out of the unraced Supreme Leader mare Second Best, whose three winning progeny include the useful six-time winner Florrie Boy.
Further close relations include the high-class St Pirran, who won the Grade-2 Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle and the 2004 Grand Annual, and the Welsh National winner Mini Sensation.
The winner of an Irish point-to-point in March, Bravo Buddy has since given plenty of encouragement in finishing third in two bumpers under rules, despite losing a shoe on the first occasion.
Sure to do better granted time, distance and some obstacles, this cracking sort has made a highly satisfactory start to his career and remains a horse with a big future.
