Monjeni is back in action for the Deva Value team on Monday, when he takes part in a ‘Jumpers Bumper’ card that has been put on for the recently abandoned National Hunt meeting at Lingfield. He lines up in the 1:45 under the hands of Charlie Todd.
The son of Montjeu has been nothing but fun for his many connections over the last few months and Ian Williams is looking forward to unleashing him against the ‘jump horses’. He has been consistently running to his mark on the all-weather and racing back at his favoured track, there are many reasons to be positive. Charlie Todd is Ian Williams’ conditional jockey and he is well worth his 5lb claim, while Monjeni is also a dual winner around the track.
Nevertheless, there are a couple of notable challengers. Both Nigel Twiston-Davis and Oliver Sherwood run horses with good all-weather form to their name and could be hard to beat, while the master that is Nicky Henderson runs a dual Novice Hurdle winner.
However, Monjeni is in top form at home and it would be no surprise if he were to upset a few of the more fancied runners.
