Exciting Recruits Give Deva A Big Saturday
by Ryan Tongue
30th October 2020

Saturday promises to be an exciting day for Deva.

Two runners in the space of 8 minutes!

First up we have Five Bar Brian who makes his hurdling and stable debut for Oliver Greenall when he lines up in the Maiden Hurdle at Ayr in the 12.32pm. He had excellent bumper form in Ireland where he beat subsequent winners at Fairyhouse early this year. He looks every inch a hurdler as he is 17hh.

His training at Stockton Hall Farm has been very good and his hurdling has been good since arriving in August. He went for a racecourse gallop at Haydock two weeks ago and worked over 2 miles where he worked well! Everything points to an exciting debut tomorrow. Sean Quinlan will take the ride.

We quickly move on to Glorious Zoff who runs at Down Royal in the 12.40pm 3YO Juvenile hurdle. He only ran 8 days ago but he has come out of Sligo very well so Gordon wanted to run him. We take on the JCB Triumph Hurdle favourite Quilixios who runs in the famous silks of Cheveley Park Stud so this will be a tough ask for Glorious Zoff who is only having his second run over hurdles, however he deserves to take his chance. We are delighted Keith Donoghue will take the ride once again.
