Costa Adeje Out To Gain More Experience
by Ryan Tongue
24th April 2021

We head to Leicester today, where Costa Adeje looks to gain more invaluable experience before a possible tilt at the Chester May Festival next month.

Although, finishing down the field on his debut at the Newmarket Craven meeting just two weeks to go, it was a run full of promise. He jumped from the stalls very professionally and travelled strongly throughout and it was not until the final half furlong where lack of match practice showed and he got a little tired.

With that run under his belt, the son of Cotai Glory will know a lot more about his job and Tom Dascombe is very hopeful that he will go close today. However, we are under no illusions and today will not be a walk in the park. The favourite, who also ran at Newmarket that week, was second in a hot looking Fillies Maiden and will clearly be hard to beat.

Nevertheless, today is not all about winning. Tom has had a race in mind at the Chester May meeting for some time and today is all about him gaining some invaluable experience that will hold him in good stead, around the unique demands of the Chester racecourse.

We are thrilled that Richard Kingscote is  once again available to ride and we are cannot wait until 1.00pm today.
