Champagne Wilde sending all the right signals

Son of popular National Hunt sire Oscar, Champagne Wilde has impressed the team at Jackdaws Castle since joining from Ireland. Recruited after finishing 2nd in a point-to-point at Boulta, Champagne Wilde will start his life under rules in a 2m bumper. Racing manager Ryan Tongue is especially excited for Deva Racing and trainer Jonjo O’Neil to team up for the first time.

“Jonjo actually gave me one of my first experiences of working in a horse racing yard. I was in awe of the top class facilities at Jackdaws Castle, and it was incredible to see the amount of detail and thinking that goes into training their horses”.

“I’ve spoken with Jonjo and he’s been impressed with what he’s seen on the gallop. He’s actually bought a horse that finished behind Champagne Wilde in his last point-to-point. Jonjo’s enjoying a fantastic season, and his horses have been in great form as of late. We’ll be hopeful of a big run when he runs in around ten days’ time”.
