Orlittlebylittle looks to make it 2 out of 2 when he competes in the 2m4f seller at Uttoxeter on Sunday. After an impressive victory at Market Rasen last time he seeks to follow up under Jason Maguire for the in form Donald McCain team.
Mike Foster said “He won well last time, Iam not sure he beat a great deal but he did it nicely. He is a fine looking individual who has taken a bit of time to get to know his job. He has not been out of the frame on the last 3 runs and could be progressive. The ground is a concern and we take on one of Michael Owen’s horses. Michael has been brilliant to Deva Racing and has given us plenty of support but I would enjoy beating him here.”

Saturday (28th April) was a very special day for Deva Racing syndicates and it finished off an amazing week for the Donald McCain team.
The day started well when well supported favourite Orlittlebylittle broke his duck with an impressive victory in the opener at Market Rasen. The 6-y-o by Bollin Eric had been placed on his last two starts and he was ridden by the newly crowned champion conditional jockey, Henry Brooke. It was just deserts for Orlittle’s band of loyal syndicate owners.
Henry Brooke said of Orlittlebylittle ”the horse ran a bit green and he probably wants further in time.”
There was only a few minutes available to enjoy a glass of champagne courtesy of the friendly team at Market Rasen before Deva Racing’s next horse took to the track.
Boruler had been well supported and looked amazing in the paddock prior to the race. His lass deserved the best turned out prize she duly won. John Kington did an excellent job in positioning Boruler throughout the race and he ran out a ready winner and thus presenting Deva Racing with their first double.
Mike Foster said ” Beryl McCain summed today up for me when she kindly texted the word ’WOW’. This is a special day, its great to win with Orlittle and I am grateful to his loyal owners. Boruler performance was full of promise and its simply fantastic to have our first double. We have to thank Donald and his fantastic team for making today possible. We have fantastic support from everyone at Bankhouse all year. We have finished the season with 4 wins from the 3 horses and all of them are now winners. Bo has never finished out of the prize money in 6 starts.”
Commenting on Donald McCain, Mike Foster said “We would like to add our congratulations to the many plaudits Donald has received for his excellent season. Breaking the 150 winner mark has been special and he deserves all the praise he is getting. It is a great team effort. Jason Maguire made 3rd place in the jockeys title. Donald was third in his championship and Henry Brooke won his title for the conditional jockeys. There are many behind the scenes who made worked very hard to single anyone out but Dominique (Head lad) has done a great job looking after the horses welfare and John Kington has ridden a couple of winners for us. A really great team but I am sure Donald will be cracking the whip on Monday to ensure the yard moves forward again next year.

It is a busy time at Deva Racing.
We have recently added two new horses to our syndicates. The first is a 4-y-o gelding by the in-form sire Flemensfirth who is in training with Donald McCain. All the shares in this horse have now been sold. We have recently added a new flat racing syndicate with a really nice filly (2-y-o) by Avonbridge. This filly is in training with Tom Dascombe and she is a really nice type. Our bloodstock agent said she is a real bargain. The last few shares are now available in her and she has already featured in the Racing Post. The filly will be aimed at one of the Racing Post bonus races as the winner received a £10,000 bonus that is divided amongst the owners.
Of our established horses Orlittlebylittleis the next to race. He is entered tomorrow (26th April) at Uttoxeter, he is currently even money favorite after a couple of placed efforts. We have dropped him in class for a confidence boost. Boruler has entries this weekend and he ran really well earlier this month at Kelso. He made all and was just pipped at the post but gained a decent second place to add to his win at 25/1 earlier in the season. He looks a certain future winner over hurdles before moving on the chase fences. This horse has never finished out of the frame!
Hurraboru is a very talented individual and he has won and been placed on two occasions. He is still an immature horse and there is lots more to come from him. He holds entries at Perth and Chepstow this Friday. A young horse learning his job and one to watch.
On the flat the Tom Dascombe trained Capo Rosso is not far from his racecourse debut. The two year old by Red Clubs has been working well and he will be aimed at a Racing Post bonus race.
